Helping to protect the survivors of the massive earthquake in Western China is a much better, morally speaking, thing for Chinese soldiers to be doing than beating up Tibetan Buddhist monsj and burning Tibetan homes.
Speaking of morally better things for soldiers to be doing, how about sending those American troops in Iraq and Afganistan to Myammar to “convince” the military junta to distribute the international reflief supplies more expeditiously to the starving and homeless victims of the cyclone. Have you noticed that our fearless Lame Duck has made no moral pronouncements chastising the military junta. Why is that, George? Isn’t letting people starve morally wrong?
